Office Staff

Royce Nelsestuen

Royce received a BA in Education from the U of A and a M.Ed. from Grand Canyon University.  She was previously the Children’s Ministry Director at FCC and taught both in children’s church and Sunday School classrooms. She is the mother to four boys.  She is passionate about allowing parents to have a choice in the child’s education as well as to provide God’s truth and a Gospel-centered worldview in all areas of education.  

Deb Callen
Director of Operations

Deb Callen has 25+ years of office administration experience with 16 of those years being the owner of 3 of her own business.  She has an AA in Social Services and loves that we are educating children based on God’s Word to influence them and their families to Glorify God with their lives.

Kathleen Purcell

Kathleen studied accounting at Pima and has over 17 years of experience working in accounts related positions.  She is the master of making money seem to grow from trees in order to allow families to take advantage of Christian Education. 

Jessi Robson
Office Assistant

Jessi earned both her BA in Elementary Education and M Ed in Educational Leadership from NAU.  She has been working in Christian education from childhood and even taught at the same school she attended as a child.  She has been a Christian camp counselor and activities director, ran an inner city missions program in Nashville, and a Summer Program Director.  She has been at FCA since 2006 and is passionate about Christian Education.

Sallie Taylor
PreK Teacher & Director

Sallie earned her BS in Education from the U of A.  She worked in the Marana, Amphi, and Flowing Wells districts before working full time at FCA.  She has been a Girl Scout leader and children’s ministry teacher.   She is passionate about getting kids to LOVE learning and to appreciate the world God gave us. 

Linda Salcido
Preschool Teacher

Linda has over 20 years of experience in all different ages of children’s ministry in her church.  She worked in various positions in three different Elementary schools before coming to FCA.  She loves being a child’s first teacher, laying that foundation for their love of learning and their love for God.

Amber Stephens
PreK Aide

Amber has been a longtime worker in childcare since the age of 13.  She is a graduate of Flowing Wells High School.  She loves being able to help mold the lives of the children in a Godly way. 
Deborah has worked with children for over 37 years, to include 10 of her own.  She is actively involved in her church and its children’s ministry.  She attended Bible School as well as Pima CC.  She has a deep love for the Bible as well as music. 

Katy Young
PreSchool Aide

Katy graduated from Faith Home Educators Co-op.  She taught 2 semesters of art classes to elementary students and has been involved with children’s ministry for the last 7 years.  She desires for kids to love the Lord, have a passion to learn and to express themselves in a healthy way.

Linda Askew

Barbara comes to us with many years of experience as a teacher, director of Children's Ministry for over 20 years and directed or taught in both Vacation Bible School and Sunday School.  She recieved both her Bachelors and her Masters from The Univeristy of Arizona.  She loves being able to teach children from the Biblical perspective.  

Linda Askew

Linda Askew has a BS in Elementary Education and a M Ed in Early Childhood Education.  She has been a missionary to Peru, a daycare teacher, preschool teacher, and a mother to 4 boys.  She loves the Kindergarten age and is a master at the ABeka curriculum.

Maja Quintero

Maja graduated with a BS in Elementary Education from Southwestern College.  She has taught 2nd grade for over 13years and has developed a wonderful curriculum for her students.  Her desire is that all students develop not just in academics but in their relationship with Jesus.  She strives to teach a solid Biblical Worldview in which they apply this worldview in everything they do in life. 
Annette graduated from Park University with a BS in Psychology.  Her career has included working with Head Start in Early Intervention and teaching various sports programs.  She is certified in Perceptual Motor Development and has worked at FCA for over 18 years.  Annette has always loved education and when she saw how Jesus is integrated in the fabric of a Christian Education, she never turned back!

Jeremiah received a BA in Elementary Education at the U of A.  Throughout his life he taught and led children at Huachuca Oaks Baptist Camp, Sunday Schools, V.B.S., Alethia Academy, Cornerstone Christian Academy, and Faith Community Academy.  This was his twelfth year teaching, and tenth year teaching at FCA. 

He had over twelve operations including a heart and kidney transplant.  This led to a lifelong dedication to passing the baton of the faith to friends, family, and those God calls him to.  His passions in education were to give students a Christian worldview, give them a love of learning, and turn them into lifelong learners.  His favorite subjects to teach were Bible, History, and Literature.  

His presence on campus will be greatly missed but we are thankful for the time we had with him.  If you would like to be a part of his legacy please donate to
Daisy received her Bachelors in Elementary Education from Pensacola Christian College .  She loves joining academics and the Bible to help in everyday life.  She has grown up helping in Bible Club, Sunday School, and as a Camp Counselor.  
Matt received a Bachelors in History Education from the UofA.  He has taught at Christian schools, charter schools, and in the public schools.  He is particularly fond of geography, history, and math.  He is excited to see students understand the content and being a part of that process. He has a knack for getting to know the students and enjoys being able to see their growth throughout the year.  
Kellie has a Bachelors in Health Science/Promotion and a Masters in Elementary Education from NAU.  She is a Certified Personal Trainer.  She has been a substitute teacher, coached various sports teams, is a personal trainer and homeschooled her 4 children for 5 years.  She loves to teach about the body and healthy nutrition.  She wants to help kids and adults enjoy being active. 
Ryan received his Bachelors in Elementary Education and a Masters in Educational Leadership from NAU.  He taught 6th grade for 6 years and was an Associate Principal for 5 years.  He loves to help develop personal growth and confidence in his students through the exploration of concepts, projects, and creativity.

Jason is working with us as he pursues his degree from GCU.  He has been a Children’s Pastor, Youth Pastor, Assistant Pastor, and a father to 4 boys. He is wonderful at building relationships with the kids on campus and teaches the Bible in his daily life.

Kathie has a BS in Elementary Education and is a talented artist.  She has taught Sunday School and  worked with DoD in adult education.  She has worked as an art teacher for multiple Christian Schools in Tucson.  She wants to see children be successful in art, that God created us all to see and appreciate beautiful things, and that He is the first and best artist.
